I met Su & Ben some months before their wedding to have a recce at their venue, Carshalton Water tower, an 18th century Bagnino and was immediately excited and in awe of this unique place. The ceremony was held in the hermitage, built into the hillside and covered in foliage, Father Dougan, Ben’s dad was the officiant and their guests gathered around, perched between the hermitage pillars. They dined in the orangery with the windows wide open as the sun streamed through. 90’s bangers was the theme for the party and it kicked off, all crammed into the old pump chamber which felt like a nightclub, pure nostalgia, sweaty and chaotic, just as it was meant to be.
